In this episode of the Pooch Parenting Podcast with Miranda Wimbush Bourque, we talk about rescue dogs who are reactive and how to make this a safer experience for families. We talk about how to set up everyone for success – from playdates to walks. Some of what we say might surprise you.
About Miranda
Miranda Wimbush CPDT-KA, AHT, fell in love with animals as a child growing up in rural British Columbia and the Yukon where she would take in and care for all kinds of furry friends, from dog and cats to rabbits, goats and even chickens! Miranda is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) as well as a vet tech. She has also completed additional training in Naturopathic Animal Care and Mindfulness.
She owns The Mindful Canine, a company which was born out of her desire to help others better understand their dog’s behaviour and foster harmonious relationships. Dogs truly live in the now, and being present with them and learning their language and how to communicate in peaceful ways results in a strong bond that lasts a lifetime.
